Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 Oct 2026

This policy explains what personal information iEvents collects when you use our website and mobile app, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using iEvents you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the service:

  • Account details — your email address, a securely hashed password (if you set one), your preferred language, and your mobile number if you provide it.
  • Booking details — the events, dates, seats or tickets you book, the name, email and mobile number entered at checkout, promo codes used, amounts paid, cancellations and refunds.
  • Payment records — the transaction reference and status we receive from our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number or card security code.
  • Check-in records — when the QR code on your ticket is scanned at the venue.
  • Reviews and interest — ratings and comments you post, and events you mark as “Interested”.
  • Job applications — if you apply for an event crew role: your full name, mobile number, age, nationality, experience, your answers to the organizer’s questions, your CV if you attach one, and interview scheduling details.
  • Device information — a push notification token if you allow notifications in the mobile app, and standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account, including sending one-time login and password reset codes.
  • To process bookings and payments, issue your QR tickets, and handle cancellations and refunds.
  • To send service messages — booking confirmations, tickets, event reminders, and updates about job applications — by email and, if you allow it, push notification.
  • To let organizers run their events: admit ticket holders at the door and review applications for their crew roles.
  • To show reviews and interest counts on event pages.
  • To prevent fraud and misuse, fix problems, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

  • Event organizers — for events you book, the organizer can see your booking (name, email, tickets and check-in status). For crew roles you apply to, the organizer who posted the role sees your application and CV.
  • Our payment provider, SkipCash — to take your payment and send refunds. Your card details are entered on SkipCash’s secure page and are handled under its own privacy policy.
  • Service providers — companies that host our servers, deliver our emails, and deliver push notifications, acting on our instructions.
  • Authorities — when the law requires it, or when needed to protect the rights and safety of our users or the service.

Reviews you post are public and are shown without your email address.

4. Cookies and device storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries that the service needs to work: to keep you signed in, to remember your language, and to remember details you typed (such as your checkout contact details) so you don’t have to enter them again on the same device. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Where your information is kept and for how long

Your information is stored on cloud servers located in Qatar. Some of our service providers (for example, for email and push notification delivery) may process limited information outside Qatar.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. Booking and payment records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax and dispute purposes. Job applications are kept so the organizer can manage hiring for the role. One-time codes expire within minutes and are then deleted.

6. Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and one-time codes, and access controls that limit staff and organizers to the data they need. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep your login details to yourself.

7. Your choices and rights

  • You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
  • You can delete your account yourself at any time — under Account settings on the website, or on the Account screen in the app. This removes your personal information, reviews and job applications. We keep booking and payment records where the law requires it.
  • You can edit or delete your reviews, and withdraw a job application, at any time.
  • You can turn push notifications off in your device settings. Booking emails (confirmations and tickets) are part of the service and can’t be turned off.

For anything else, email us at support@ievents.inspire.qa. We handle personal information in line with Qatar’s Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016).

8. Children

iEvents is not intended for children under 18 to use on their own. If you are under 18, please use the service only with a parent or guardian’s permission. Some events have their own age limits, which are shown on the event page.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. If a change is significant, we will let you know by email or in the app.
